2nd competition of Czech Cup 2002 and Children Cup 2002

On Saturday, 11th May 2002, TJ Lokomotiva Liberec held the 2nd of 5 competitions of Czech Cup 2002 and Children Cup 2002.

77 competitors came to Liberec from 8 clubs all over the Czech Republic.

Petra Vachníková and Petr Dufek were favourites, they were in the head of the Czech Cup 2002 after the 1st competition in Praha Liboc (27th April 2002). In Liberec there were the best girls and boys of the children categories too.

In the 2nd Czech Cup competition favourites have fallen out unexpectedly.

In the category of ladies individuals Petra Vachníková from TJ Rožnov pod Radhoštěm was the best in the Qualifying round by almost 4 points (63,8/11,2 pts), but in the final round she did not finish her routine. Despite the victory in Czech Cups 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001 she was finally on the 8th place that day. In spite of this failure she is the best in the running list of the Czech Cup 2002.

So, Libuše Pilzová from SK GT Litoměřice won the competition. She is the Czech junior Champion 2001. She was on the 3rd place after the Qualifying round (59,0/10,3 pts), but the great performance in the final help she to the victory (35,6/11,1 pts). Her routine was close to routines of Petra Vachníková.

Kristýna Závodníková from Sokol Brno Komárov was the 3rd (34,2/10,2 pts). She would like to partake in the JEM in autumn this year. She batters for cup points with Libuše Pilzová above all. They have the same number of points after the 2nd competition of Czech Cup 2002.

The competition was a disillusion for Jitka Holíčková from Sokol Žižkov I. She did not finish her compulsory routine. In spite of the fact she had the 3rd best voluntary routine (34,1/9,6 pts) she was on the 46th place after the final round. So, she went down in the running list of the Czech Cup 2002 too, from the 3rd place to the 6th place.

The category of men individuals went through similarly. The favourite Petr Dufek from TJ Petřiny Praha had no problem and won the Qualifying round by 2 pts (6,0/14,6 pts), but he did not finish his final routine (32,0/11,5pts) and finally he was on the 3rd place.

Even Petr Dejl from TJ Petřiny Praha, another Czech representative, did not finish the final round and went down to the 8th place (7,0/4,8 pts). We must say he tried the triple somersault in the final routine.

Vladimír Novák utilised the failure of favourites. He was 3rd after the Qualifying round (57,4/9,4 pts) behind Petr Dufek (66,0/14,6 pts) and Petr Dejl (63,9/13,3 pts), but in the final round he obtained 34,6/11,3 pts and became the victor of the 2nd Czech Cup competition 2002.

Petr Dostál from Sokol Olomouc was traditionally on the 2nd place (34,0/9,4 pts). He went through the competition without greater fault.

In the contrary, Jiří Kurtin from Sokol Brno Komárov (the 4th after the Qualifying round) did not perform the final routine well and he fell on the 7th place.

On the running list of the Czech Cup 2002 there were no great changes, the 1st is Petr Dufek ahead of Petr Deljl and Petr Dostál.

In the final round of the synchrony women pairs the pair Libuše Pilzová/Petra Vachníková did not repeat the very good performance from the Qualifying round where they were the best and thanks to the lower synchronisation and the touch of the trampoline bed they fell on the final 2nd place.(42,1/9,9 pts)

It was the way to the victory for the pair Zuzany Musialková/Kristýna Závodníková (Sokol Olomouc/Sokol Brno Komárov). They won with 43,9/7,8 pts.

In the running list both pairs Libuše Pilzová/Petra Vachníková and Zuzany Musialková/Kristýna Závodníková have the same number of cup points: due to the law for the case of this event the pair Libuše Pilzová/Petra Vachníková is on the 1st place now.

It was a black Saturday for favourites in the category of synchronised men pairs. The pair Pter Dejl/Petr Dufek finished neither the voluntary routine nor the final routine and did not reach any medal position.

So, the best was the pair Machal Buriern/Pavel Knitrsch from the TJ Lokomotiva Liberec. This pair was the best both in the Qualifying round (74,1/6,9 pts) and in the final one (40,1/6,9 pts).

But in the running list of the Czech Cup 2002 of this category the pair Jan Adamec/Pavel Štefela from TJ Rožnov pod Radhoštěm is the best, because they obtained the cup points in both Czech Cup 2002 competitions.

In the 2nd competition of the Children Cup competitors from Liberec and from Rožnov pod Rahoštěm were the best.

The hegemony of the girls from TJ Rožnov pod Radhoštěm broke only Zita Frydrychová from TJ Lokomotiva Liberec, who was even on the 1st place after the Qualifying round (54,6/6,5 pts).

In the final round there more experienced Jana Vaculínová from TJ Rožnov pod Radhoštěm dominated there. After the fall in the voluntary routine (27,4/7,8 pts) she got 33,0/9,7 pts in the final round and won the category by 2 pts. Zita Frydrychová was the 2nd (31,0/6,5). On the 3rd place there was finally Gabriela Palacká from Rožnov there (29,3/5,5 pts). She was behind Zita Frydrychová during the whole competition.

Jana Vaculínová is the 1st in the running list of the Children Cup 2002 ahead of Gabriela Palacká and Nikola Mičolová. All three girls are from TJ Rožnov pod Radhoštěm.

Michal Burian was the most successful competitor of the organising team in the category of boys individuals. He was the 3rd after the Qualifying round, but in the final round he defeated (29,7/6,9 pts) tightly Daniel Komarov, the victor of the Qualifying round (29,5/8,1 pts). Daniel Komarov was the 2nd.

Milan Zálužanský from Sokol Žižkov I was the 3rd (28,3/5,0 pts) and home Tomáš Brzek completed the successful performance of the club from Liberec with the 4th place (26,8/4,2 pts).

Michal Burian did not reach the head of the running list of the Children Cup 2002 thanks to the absence in the 1st competition of the Children Cup 2002. The 1st is Daniel Komarov before Milan Zálužanský and Pavel Štefela from TJ Rožnov pod Radhoštěm now.
